Our Cookies
Can I pick my own flavors?
Yes! You can build your set. For shipping, four cookies are the order minimum, and six cookies are the max (we do this so your cookies don't get smooshed in our pink shipping box). Having said that, you can always place two orders. Or three ; ]
How many flavors do you offer?
Five flavors changing every few weeks. Why do they change? Because we, unfortunately, suffer from Shiny Object Syndrome.
When's your next flavor drop?
Every two weeks! Check out our menu, as the flavors will be rotating.
Join our Super Secret Clubhouse to know when our flavors change. That way you won't run the risk of missing out once the flavor is gone, because that would be so terribly sad.
Our Launch Day was Tuesday 12/12 at 12:12pm, 2023.
For birthdays, weddings, divorce parties, and corporate events, orders need to be submitted by email at hello@lunchboxcookies.com for processing. Please visit our Catering/Corporate section further down the list for more info.
How big are your cookies?
Cookies are BIG! They're 6-7oz each (with a few hitting a whopping 1/2 a pound!), which is why their pricing varies. We consider the size, the cost of the ingredients, and the time that goes into stuffing, baking, and making them super gooey and pretty. Each cookie is made completely from scratch. Great for sharing—or not. But really, suggested serving is 1/4 to 1/2 a cookie, and spacing the rest out.
The Minis are 1.5+oz/45g each. Perfect for parties, events, and gatherings of all sizes.
How long do the cookies last?
Um...five minutes? Jokes aside, cookies will be okay in an air-tight container for 7 days (this has been tested) at 72°F/22°C—or up to four days after delivery. Cookies left out in warmer/humid climates will spoil sooner. They are best consumed as soon as you receive them (as they have no preservatives), and we strongly suggest freezing the rest. Why? Freezing them is the best way to ensure optimal freshness and to get that just-out-of-the-oven experience. We don't recommend putting our cookies in the fridge, as they'll dry out, unless they have cream cheese filling.

Please visit our Cookie Care page for full instructions on how to best handle your cookies.
My cookies arrived soft and doughy—sadness. Now what?
We seal your cookies in pouches to keep them fresh and safe from contaminants. Since our cookies are thicker and filled with all sorts of deliciousness, they hold more moisture than your typical flat cookies. This and warm weather might cause the cookies to lose their exterior crispness during travel—but don’t worry, that’s actually a good thing! You can always bring back the crisp, but you can’t save a dry cookie. Here’s how:
For cookies with icing: Pop them in the fridge for 20-30 minutes to get a nice bite! Just don’t leave them too long, as it can dry them out. Although it has no icing, our Red Velvet would be best using this method.
For cookies without icing (like our Old School): Warm them up as mentioned in our Cookie Care page, then let them cool for 10-20 minutes to bring that fresh-out-of-the-oven crispiness back.
Are the cookies raw?
Nope! Although we strive to get the outside crispy and the inside gooey and chewy, they are baked until they reach a safe inner temperature to ensure any bacteria in the flour is killed. That's the great thing about plant-based cookies; we don't have to worry about foodborne illnesses coming from eggs or dairy. Having said that, the center is not raw, just a tad under-baked, and totally safe to eat.
Do you deliver?
LA Local Delivery soon!
Are your cookies Gluten Free?
All our cookies contain wheat (unbleached flour). We have choco chip gluten-free options available upon request for orders of 4 cookies and up. Want to place a GF order? Let us know! hello@lunchboxcookies.com
Do you have vegan options?
Yes! Our kitchen is 100% eggs and dairy free, and 100% plant-based. Our brown, white, and powdered sugars are 100% vegan.
Are your cookies nut/tree nut free?
All our cookies are nut/tree nut free UNLESS clearly stated in our weekly menu. We do not use coconut oil or soy milk in any of our doughs. Some of our chocolate chips do use soy lecithin as an emulsifier, but that's not an issue for most people. Cookies are also:
Fish / Shellfish free
Sugar Alcohol free
Preservatives free
Mustard free
Sesame free
Sulfite free
High-Fructose Corn Syrup free
Can you 100% guarantee there will be no cross-contamination with allergens?
Unfortunately, we can't. Although we strive to do so by cleaning our equipment between batches to prevent any cross-contamination, our ingredients are processed in a facility that handles soy, gluten, and nuts. The same applies to some of our outsourced ingredients (like chocolate); although they are nut free, they are also processed in a facility that handles nuts. This is not a problem for most, but it might not be ideal for those with more sensitive allergies. Your health comes first <3

Shipping
When will I get my cookies?
Shipping orders are sent out 3 business days after order is placed—although this may vary. You will receive a shipping confirmation once your order is shipped. Orders typically arrive in 1-2 business days, via UPS 2nd Day Air, from the time that your order is shipped. Shipping times are solely an estimate, and not a guarantee. If you wish your cookies to arrive by a certain date, or need special accommodations, hit us up! hello@lunchboxcookies.com
Quick note for orders placed on Wednesdays and Thursdays: we need three days to bake and two to ship. If we ship on Friday, your cookies might get delayed over the weekend since UPS 2nd Day Air takes a break on Sundays. To keep your cookies as fresh as possible, we’ll wait until Monday to ship and your yummy cookies will arrive Wednesday.
What if my cookies arrive damaged?
We do our best to package your cookies with utmost care, bagging them and filling the shipping box with stuffing, and for that reason we are not responsible for them once they are out of our hands. Once UPS has them, we have no control over what happens to your package, which is why we try to get them to you fast—the least time spent in transit, the less chance they'll get damaged. We do not accept returns, refunds, and/or cancellations. We also do not replace lost or damaged items. If your order was lost or damaged during shipping, please contact UPS to file a claim.
Oh no! My cookies are lost!
Please please please triple check your shipping address. We are not responsible for any lost packages. If your cookies are sent back to us for "insufficient address input" you will have to pay shipping again. If the package is sent back to us in poor condition, we will NOT be able to reship your cookies. Please contact UPS for all shipping questions and claims.
What if my cookies arrive when I am not home?
Keep an eye out for your package. It’s not advised to leave your cookies out in the sun, rain, or at the mercy of coyotes, lizards, iguanas, raccoons—or even your neighbor's nosy dog. Get your cookies indoors and to room temperature ASAP.
Oh dear! My cookies arrived slightly melted! What do I do?
Softening of cookies and toppings may occur during these hot summer months. Place in the fridge for 10-20mins, just until firm. Cookies will be just as yummy! If anything, they'll be extra gooey.
Can I cancel/modify order?
We can offer refunds up to 8 hours after the payment is accepted. Unfortunately, after that time, we cannot longer offer refunds as our Head Baker will be up to his elbows in flour prepping your order. But the good news—you get cookies!
Change Cutoff. Decisions are tough! But we're here to help. If you changed your mind as to which cookie flavors you want in your box, please email us at hello@lunchboxcookies.com within 6 hours of placing your order, along with your order confirmation number. After that, all change requests will be pending consideration and a small fee will apply.
Local LA Pickup
Where and when?
Preorders will be picked up Saturday from Mid City Night Market at Pan Pacific Park, from 5pm-7pm. Why preorder? It guarantees we won't sell out of your cookies.
Order cut-off time for Saturday pickup is 7pm.
OMG I forgot to get my cookies! Now what?
Our cookies are best enjoyed fresh, and some, like the Red Velvet, require refrigeration. Because of this, we can only hold them for that window. After that, they'll be donated. We do not re-bake or offer refunds for orders that aren't picked up.
Need to reschedule your pickup? Just email us the night before! hello@lunchboxcookies.com

Plastic & Paper Bags
Individually wrapped cookies only available for shipping and for catering orders when requested. We limit packaging to absolute essentials in order to reduce waste. For that same reason, shopping paper bags are not provided.
Can you individually package the cookies with a flavor sticker?
If you need the cookies individually wrapped with a "flavor sticker" this is automatically considered a "Catering Order". We are able to package the cookies individually or in packs of 2 (if small). You must order 10 days ahead of time for packaged cookies as we need more time to prepare the flavor labels for your order. Any pick-up order with individually wrapped cookies is considered a "Catering Order".
Please reach out to hello@lunchboxcookies.com for pricing and to place your order.
We limit packaging to absolute essentials.
Catering orders? Corporate Events?
Yes! Show your clients and/coworkers some appreciation with a box of your favorite cookies. We believe our cookies are perfect for every occasion that brings people together. Whether it be happy times, sad times, and even "just because" times.
Most people choose to send 1-2 dozen assorted cookies to each client/office, but we can create a customized box of cookies for you with any assortment of treats we currently offer. We can even include a custom note with your order :]
For large orders (24+) of non-individually-wrapped cookies, please put order in at least 168 hours (7 days) in advance to ensure we have all the ingredients required to handle your special order. Large orders can choose from some* previous/future flavors beyond those available that week.
Once you're ready, please send us an email at hello@lunchboxcookies.com so you can choose your flavors and amounts.
Please note: catering orders that require individually wrapped cookies with "flavor labels" require at least 10 days to prepare. You can also choose to have them individually wrapped without the "flavor labels" for your order to be ready sooner.
*Pending seasonal ingredients availability.
Our Vegetable Shortening
You might've heard palm oil is bad for the environment. As with many things, not all palm kernel oils are made the same. Although we only use a small fraction in our cookies (with about 7g of saturated fats from PO per cookie), we always make sure our PO:
...has a smaller CO2e footprint [ 1.6—2 kg CO2e/kg ] than the alternatives: Coconut Oil [ 6.2 kg ] & Cow Butter [ 15 kg ]*
...has no hydrogenated fats.
...has zero trans fats.
...is Fair Trade Certified.
...RSPO Certified [read more]
...is Rainforest Alliance Certified [read more]
...is Sustainable Certified.
THE TAKEAWAY: It makes farmers and the environment happy—just think what it does for a cookie!
*Approx. data provided by CarbonCloud, comparing "Vegetable Oil" + "Oil Palm Fruit", with "Refined Coconut Oil" and "Butter 80% fat" and GreenScore®.
How are these cookies better for the environment?
We believe in making the world a better place, one cookie at a time. Because not only do our cookies bring out joy and happiness, they also help reduce CO2eq numbers when compared to a regular cookie. We know science can be a snooze so we bunched up the highlights for you. You can read more here.
Do you sell cookie dough?
We wish.
But can't.
Because we would eat it all.
Why haven't they remade "Captain Planet"?
We wish we knew! Maybe we should do it ourselves and launch a GoFundMe.
Is it safe to use my CC online?
Absolutely! We use a certified credit card processor as well as PayPal for safe and secure online payments.
